PC based IPTV and VoD components

Codevio specialises in IPTV and VoD related components that could be used to build both server and client side applications on the PC.

• IPTV/VoD DirectShow Filter – this component can be used to play IPTV broadcasts and RTSP streaming video from a network through Windows Media Player, or any other DirectShow based application
• MPEG2 Transport Stream Demultiplexer DirectShow Filter - a demux component specifically designed for dealing with live video streams from the network environment. Fully API compatible with the Microsoft MPEG2 demux.
• Full IPTV version of ShowShifter. A version of our ShowShifter media centre application that receives digital TV and radio channels streamed over a network, allowing the user to view, record and pause TV.

Digital Media Centre Applications

Codevio acquired the source code, brand name, and IP rights to the ShowShifter application, originally developed by Home Media Networks Limited.

ShowShifter is a comprehensive ‘Media Center’ application for the PC, with a '10ft' user interface allowing the user to see and control the application from a distance. It offers analog and digital TV viewing and recording, a Music Jukebox, DVD playback, CD playback, and a digital picture viewer.

ShowShifter can be licensed as is, or Codevio can modify it to your requirements, e.g.

• Adding support for your TV tuner product
• Removing unwanted functionality
• Branding or skinning the application
• Adding extra functionality not currently present

Codevio has a library of components that can be built together into a PC based application that can view and capture both analog and digital TV.
